How do I activate my Maxon 4D license

I need to use my Maxon license to use it. How do I do that?

If you are talking about the Lite version included in After Effects 2020 you need to create a MyMaxon account to validate the license. You can do it in the dialog window you get the first time you launch Cinema 4D Lite

That didn't seem to work for me.What I finally did was throw out the After Effects 2020 and then reinstalled it. That seems to have done it.
