how so i change the values on graph editor After Effects CS6

The top screenshot has two visible keyframes and at least one other keyframe at the start and end of the footage layer. The time displayed is the running time of the video in the layer, not the running time of the comp.

 

The bottom screenshot only has 2 keyframes. The rest of them have been eliminated. If the clips are identical then you can have the same time displayed, but if you want to make the time changes at different parts of the clip, the time values will not be the same.

 

When you have problems with a tutorial it is important that you post a link to the tutorial. Most of the newer tutorials on YouTube are presented by enthusiasts and most of the workflows and explanations leave a lot to be desired. Most of the problems I see forum users have with tutorials are caused by the tutorials. Make sure you vet your trainers and make sure they know what they are talking about. The number of views is not a measure of the quality of the tutorial.
