How to duplicate Masks

New Here ,
Jan 07, 2020 Jan 07, 2020

Hi everyone!

I would like to copy 2 masks applied on 1 video used to make a transition with another video.

Its a quite complex mask, so i would simply want to copy the mask and apply it to anothervideo, for the same kind of transition.

How can i do so?

Thanks!

With the "m" shortcut you can reveal all masks in the timeline. Then you can simply select the mask and copy / paste it to the other layer. If the mask is animated (with "u" shortcut you can reveal all animated properties), you might need to select and move the keyframes to the new point in time wherethe transition should be.

If the two layers don't have the same position, the mask might have an offset after pasting. You either need to fix that manually or alternatively copy with my tool CopyMask2Layer which deals with these kinds of offsets automatically.
