Layer modes not working while layer is in 3D

^explains all... Does after effects 3D renderer not work together with layer modes(blend, screen, multiply...) because I have an AMD graphics card?
All drivers n stuff is up to date.

You have your preview mode to Fast Draft or Draft. Blend modes do not preview for 3D layers with these settings. From your screen capture:

If that does not fix the problem, make sure your version of AE is up to date. There are no current blend modes bugs that I know of.

Start with all layers 2D and the blend mode working. Change all layers to 3D and start moving them around in Z space. Add a camera and put it in any layer. If your AE is up to date and any of these operations makes the blend mode stop working let us know exactly when it happens.

Your Fast Preview is set to Fast Draft and this does not render Modes for 3D Layers. Change your Fast Preview setting to Adaptive or Final.

Hi, I'm also going through a similar bug. I also checked the fast draft, and it's off. What could be possibly going wrong that I don't see mode for a 3d layer?

Sorry, this is an old comment but you have to change your 3d mode to Classic 3d. Ray tracing 3D doesn't support blending modes.
