This is a problem I've been dealing with for a while hoping new versions of After Effects would clear it up.
I'm on Windows 10 with the latest version of After Effects.
When selecting a color for text or solids using the eyedropper, the tool disappears soon after moving to select a color. I've attached a screen capture to show the problem. This doesn't happen 100% of the time and is sometimes fixed by restarting my system (but not always).
