Missing effect: Fractal Noise

Hi!

I just bought an AE template and when I try to use it, the program gives me this error message: 

How can I solve this? 

I have the 2020 version of AE.

Without any info on the template and where the Fractal Noise is allegedly used nobody can tell you much. FN has been updated quite a bit in CC 2015, so this may simply be a compatibility issue if the project is from an older version. should not happen, though, so something is still weird.

Is there any other information or screenshot I can provide to facilitate finding a solution?

Looks recent enough, so the only thing i can think of is potential issues with hardware acceleration. Check your graphics driver and update it if necessary. Also consider reinstalling AE of course.

I have exactly the same issue.

I've downloaded the same thing and Fractal noise is missing.

I'm currently on a 2020 macbook pro, shoul I consider updating my graphics driver?
