Motion tile not working (please help)

I just started using ae to make edits to post on Instagram. In all the tutorials it says to add motion tile and it works on the sides but on the top and bottom there are very large black bars and I don't know how to get rid of them(I put my clips together on fcp before I go to ae if that has anything to do with it). It is very frustrating because I want to do rotations but it looks stupid with the black bars. I have tried precomposing already and I don't know what else to try. Anyone know how to fix this???

If you do not post any screen captures of your Effect Settings then it's impossible to know what the issue is.

I will only suggest that you use CC Repetile instead of Motion Tile. CC Repetile is more memory efficient and has a more streamlined UI. HTH
