Number of views not showing

My composition window is missing options.

I noticed that I don't have anymore the option to choose how many views I have, so now I am stuck with two. It's really frustrating.

I changed to this two viewport setup when I 3d tracked in one project file, then I deleted the 3d camera. This "2 views" setup continues even when I create a new project file. It doesn't default to the "1 view" like it has done before.

On the bottom left corner there should be the popup menu that says "2 views", but there isn't. I reinstalled after effects and the problem still continues.

This is a new behavior in the latest update. The 3D UI was reworked and the ability to choose different views or select multiple views from the bottom of the Composition Panel requires a 3D layer in the scene. If you don't want to temporarily change a layer to 3D you can right-click in an empty part of the comp panel and select Add New Viewer. Then you can close the viewer that has multiple views.

Update: I got the option menu to show up when I added a camera to the scene. But this should not be the final solution, I feel like something is broken.
