Hi!
I'm new to the community, have been lurking for a bit however.
I'm currently working on a video game trailer on AE, the scene I have to edit is in a cave, showing images on the wall, it pans from left to right, spending about 3-4 seconds per image to essentially tell the story.
I've added a vignette (Light) with wiggle expression giving me the effect of it being lit by a torch, however I added particles (Particle World) to have embers come off the torch you cannot see behind the screen. I want the viewer to see the embers but not the torch.
I'm having trouble finding a way to make my particles (embers) follow my camera movement when it pans from one image to the other, essentially giving the effect of my torch moving to the next image. Right now it looks silly since the particles start from the bottom left of my scene and continuously grow to the upper left, so when my camera pans, there is no movement effect. What is the best and simplest way to achieve this?
Thank you!
you can either move the producer manually with keyframes this way you animate the emitting point of the particles, or you can create a rig for the cc particle world effect so you can parent it or animate it using a null or whatever which way. for creating the rig look here:
