RDP/VPS for rendering?

Do you guys know if there are any servers out there for rendering? I'd rather rent something like this than spend more money on my PC. I was going to invest in a $500 GPU but then I found this:

Shopping Cart - MaxRDP - Webraut Hosting Solution Pvt Ltd

Would this work to just render my videos on that server?

I'm not clear what you are asking. As the gigazillion "how to render faster" and similar threads in this forum show, rendering is a complex process and neither of your intended solutions may give any improvement, given that due to how AE works there is barely any GPU involvment in rendering or it would not come into play and fall back to CPU rendering if a project has a complex structure, respectively. Conversely, just outsourcing to some servr farm might not do anything. It's totally not clear

It's totally not clear what service they are actually offering and what kind of "admin access" and software installations they allow. Not that it would matter much - you'd still need to figure out your AE licensing, anyway - but it seems to me rather than panicked last straw solutions you perhaps might spend your time better trying to understand how AE rendering actually works and how to optimize it so it possibly works more efficiently on your current system.

Probably best to do it locally either on your PC or a personally owned server on your LAN. If you go this route, then get a NAS where you can access files from both your workstation (where you edit) and your rendering server.

To actually render the video on the server the files would have to be uploaded first, which means that your new bottleneck would be your ISP's upload speeds which are almost always slower than its download speeds.

Linus Tech Tips has a decent video about their rendering workflow that may be useful to you.
