Unable to render H265/8K

New Here ,
Dec 17, 2019 Dec 17, 2019

Hi,

I am trying to render a timelapse in the h265/8k format through the Adobe Media Encoder, for some reason this won't work.

The PC-setup is as follows :

AMD Ryzen 5 3900

16GB RAM

MSI RX570 4GB

I've tried to render the same projectfile on an similair but Intel-based setup and this works fine.

Is the AMD-processer really the problem here?

Does anyone has similair problems and perhaps a solution for this inconvenice?

Regards,

Guus

Hi there,

Sorry for your issue. I see that you are having trouble while exporting a video from Adobe Media Encoder.

Could you share the following details:

  • Details of the media you are working with (frame rate, frame size, format/codec).
  • Does it show any error message when export fails?

You can try exporting the file while Mercury Playback Engine Software Only is selected as renderer in Media Encoder.

Let us know how it goes.

Thanks,

Nishu

Hi Nishu,

Thank you for your reply, I tried exporting via engine software only with the same result.

I'm trying to export it in 25 fps, 7680x4320 px, H265/8K, no errors are shown. It just stops rendering..

When I try to playback a h265/8K file on this machine (AMD) it shows nothing either, while the file wil play just fine on the intel machine..

Regards,

Guus
