I launch Mocha from AE. Seems the only way back to AE is to close Mocha. Is there a way to go between the 2 without closing Mocha?
Thansk.
If your AE is not CC 2019 then launching Mocha just opens another app. That is what is going on in the demo video posted above. You should be able to just Alt/Option + Tab to switch between apps.
In CC 2019 Mocha AE is a plug-in and it is a lot easier to use but it's not a separate app so there is no switching between apps. The procedure is to save the tracking data and close the window just like you would do with any effect that has a separate UI like Trapcoede Particular.

Hi Jim. So I assume you want to remain on Mocha and AE with both screens open so you can move between them.

Above pic I have AE and Mocha open side by side after I exported the tracking data
You don't need to close Mocha after you save the Tracking data.
Mocha will open anew install of itself up each time you ask it to track an AE layer.
This might become cluttered if you dont have multiple monitors that are large and if you minimize to tray or dock it could become confusing.
But NO, you do not need to close Mocha down to return to AE
Trust this helps

I can't get that to work. When I have Mocha open, I get locked out of AE. I try to click on it and I get that sound that there is no access. Not sure how to get what u have.

doesn't work for me. are you using a mac? Do you have Mocha stand-alone?
so I open AE, click on Animation/Track in Mocha; Mocha window pops up. From then on, it keeps me from clicking back onto AE.
Why doesn't Mocha pop up when you click on Track in AE? What are you doing in the bottom right corner when you click on the Mocha icon? Is that there because you clicked on Track in AE?
Thanks.

Thank you Rick that is absolutely correct. I had forgotten to ask the OP which version of AE he was on.
