For me this usually rears its ugly head when I'm doing mixdowns to mp3. The format type (mp3) stays the same but the bitrate always changes back down to 192 Kbps. Furthermore, if I switch the bitrate, say to 256 Kbps, then go down and change the Mixdown Options the bitrate will change back to 192 Kbps. There should be at the very least the option, like there is under Convert Sample Type, to save all the various options for Mixdown under a preset.
Same issue here, very annoying when mixing down a large amount of sessions to export as MP3 and can lead to very easy mistakes. Please fix this so that Format Settings are retained from the most recent multitrack session.
same problem for me. SO ANNOYING and far too easy to miss an altered setting when exporting lots of files. Why doesn't it default to most recently used export settings?? File > Export > Multitrack Mixdown doesn't default to the last-used settings. I'm exporting mono files and it defaults to stereo each time. Just moved to Audition which is so much better in so many ways but this is a dull and slowing oversight/glitch. Any thoughts? Thank you!
I have put up with this issue now for a LONG time, and wanted to know if it has been resolved. All I want to do is set mixdown value to 320 kbps and keep it, so I do not have to change it every time.
Useless update: At some point, for some reason that I am not aware of, the mixdown dialog DID start saving my last used settings. Then I switched laptops, and with the new install, it's stopped saving again. Mayyyyybe file permissions to save the settings data file? I don't want to live like this again. 😞
Totally agree and I am SURE it did do previously - every time now I have to change from 96 Kbps to 192 Kbps - I did not have to do this before!
Looking at other posts here though it seems people are stuck with different 'default' values - All we want to do is select a default value and have it every time.
