I keep getting this error message when trying to install - to my knowledge I am not running more than one installer at the same time so I'm not sure how to fix this problem. Anyone got any ideas about where I've gone wrong? Thanks in advance
hi,
sierra (os 10.12) and later are not compatible with older software, but adobe's posted a work-around: https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/install-creative-suite-mac-os-sierra.html
but no work-arounds will likely work with future mac os updates (short of installing a parallel compatible os).

I would like to try the workaround, but the link posted is not available any more. Can It be fixed, please? The error I'm initially getting is that the installer thinks I'm not on the internet, yet here I am writing this on the internet.

the easist way to handle that is to disconnect your computer from the internet and then while installing, or if already installed, select activate offline.

Piggybacking on what kglad has already said... It's probably time for you to check Adobe Creative Cloud plans. There are a couple to choose from and you'll always be up to date that way. Best of luck!
