Hi.

I use Windows 10 october update and the latest versions of CC.

I have encountered a problem, which in the end I have managed to fix and I don't know if it happens to me alone or to more people.

From one day to the next Adobe programs stopped being able to save files, modifier metadates, keywords, create logs, etc. After a while I remembered that recently I had activated the protection of folders against ramsomware in Windows Defender and apparently this causes me to block the actions of the Adobe programs.

The "solution" is easy (when you realize of course) either you deactivate this protection or you put the respective adobe program in the list of programs with exceptions.

If this happens to everyone I think that Adobe and Microsoft should look at it because I do not think Adobe programs are precisely the malicious or dubious programmer type.

The Windows Defender feature lets you lock particular folders. But don't lock the ones needed for normal operation! You block all apps from writing the folder, not just malware. It's up to YOU to let apps have access. Adobe CANNOT get around the restriction.

In my opinion, it doesn't work like that.

It's indicated that it protects malicious software folders, not that it systematically blocks all programs.

In one of the protected folders I can save any Office document, Libreoffice, Xmind... I can make direct downloads from the internet, compress files in .rar and it never puts me problems.

In the only case in which I have to add exceptions (for the moment ) is with the Adobe programs.
