My mac does not meet the minimum system requirements to download Illustrator CC, how do I change this?

I am trying to downlad a free trial of Illustrator CC on my mac pro 13inch (mid 2012), as far as I'm aware I have all the latest updates. I am unable to download the trial as it says 'This computer does not meet the minimum system requirements for Illustrator CC. Please refer to the system requirements in the Help documentation for a full list of hardware and software requirements for Illustrator CC.' How can check what requirements it is that I'm not meeting and how can I meet them?

Thanks

Hi Marsalim33540915,

The latest CC apps need Mac OS 10.11( El Capitan), if you have an older operating system then this then it will not install.

To know all the system requirements for Illustrator CC, please see: Adobe Illustrator system requirements.

Hope this helps.

Hi, any advice appreciated.

I have 10.10.5 Yosemite and I am unable to update as it says no update available. I feel I have been ripped off as I have purchased Illustrator and can't even download it! Right now I can't even manage the account to cancel it - it says I will be able to 'shortly'!

I really hate the whole rental system!
