All my text is highlighted

I have received a document from someone and after loading the fonts, every single line of type is highlighted like the font is missing, but the font is loaded and it looks fine. 

Is there anyway to fix this or is it just a glitch? When I copy and paste the page to a brand new document the highlight goes away and when I paste it back it comes back. 

Any ideas?
