Liebe Community,
I reinstalled everything and followed your steps. Thanks again for that 🙂 Unfortunately, it didn't help. I did some more research on the internet yesterday evening and came across an article about installed fonts. I had installed Google Fonts a while ago. After removing them from my computer, everything worked perfectly again.

First, what's your exact InDesign version? Also, I assume that 15.6 is your macOS version (not InDesign); in this case, update Sequoia to its latest version (I think it's 15.8.x).
If it doesn't help, try cleaning your preferences and caches:

If the problem persists: how much RAM do you have? And were you ever able to use InDesign on this machine successfully, and if so then at what point did the problem start?

Hi,
The InDesign version is 2026, 21.0.
And the version was downloaded to macOS 🙂
The problem has existed since the last InDesign update. The program has not worked since then. I have 16 GB of RAM.

Do you have the same problem with InDesign 2025 (you can install it from the Creative Cloud app, if needed)?
Did you update your macOS Sequoia to its latest version?
Did you perform the cleanup troubleshooting steps mentioned in my post?
