I export hundreds of PDFs a day and want to see if there is a way to save a PDF export preset to save the presets for security settings so I can just type in the password.

Hi bhuffine,

I would ask this in one of the Acrobat forums.

Maybe there is a JavaScript with Acrobat that could do this?

Or a batch action wizard.

Acrobat SDK:

Hi ,

As @Laubender mentioned above, this is really a question for the Acrobat forum but as I can answer it I will.

In Acrobat if you search the tools for "Action Wizard" and create a new action.

You can then select "Protection" from the left panel of the window that appears.

That should open a drop down which will have an "Encrypt" option.

If you select this option and then press the + with the -> in the middle of the dialog it will add it to the panel on the right.

The right panel is where you set up your action.

You can select a specific document or folder to work on (post any questions below)

Under the "Untitled" section you should see the word "Encrypt"

Click it and some options should appear.

Click "Specify Settings" a dialog should appear

From this dialog you can select a number of settings, hopefully one matches what you want to do.

Once done, click "OK' then "save"

Give it a name and description

Then you should see it on the right under "Actions List" just click it to run it.

Hopefully that helps, if you have any further questions let us know.
