Enhance Details option does not show up in my copy of LR Classic CC 8.0 [was 8.2] Build 1193777

I just updated a week ago but the Enhance Details option does not appear in either the Photo dropdown menu or when I right click on an image.

What could be the cause of this problem?

Wrong version. Yours 8.0. You need 8.2 and then something to get that feature to work.

That build number matches up to Lightroom Classic version 8.0 not 8.2.

As dj_paige asked what is your OS version?

The OS version may be preventing the Lightroom upgrade and the new enhanced details needs the newest version of OS as well to function.

Copy/Paste the first 10 lines from "system info" in the Lightroom Help menu in your next reply and that will give everyone the needed info.

Do you mean that the menu isn't there, or that it doesn't work? Enhance Details only works on RAW images. It does not work on jpeg or tiff images, and it does not work on HDR or Panorama DNG images.

The problem was a missing W10 update.  Once recovered, the option proved

fruitless.  Neither I nor about a dozen other members of my camera club

could detect any change to a putatively "enhanced" image.  No doubt

someone forgot to insert the code into the release

Check your GPU for an updated driver, helps some, not all. Make sure you get that from the actual chip maker, not the card vendor (for example NVIDIA not ASUS)

Please tell us the exact version NUMBER of your operating system. Do not use words like "latest" or "current", we need the version NUMBER.
