Lightroom Classic 13.2(latest) no longer showing Photoshop 2024 as an option to edit in

It was just fine last night, shut everything down, turned off computer, turned back on today, open lightroom.....only shows photoshop 2023.  Weird, since I last set 2024 in the preferences since the wacom tablet thing finally seems to be working with both pressure sensitivity and the Alt click bug not selecting areas, seems to happen less often....

 

So I click open in another program so I can reset it back to 2024, 2024 is no longer an option, it only shows 2023.

 

Just checked to see if some random auto update or something, even though that has been disabled, somehow happened?  Nope, still on the latest version I had done manually, V25.7.

 

So for some reason Lightroom, which also was not updated from last night, just randomly now does not want to work with photoshop 2024

    The "Edit in Photoshop..." will be starting the last installed version of Photoshop. You can reinstall Photoshop (non Beta) to start this version when you use "Edit in...". But when you install the next update of the Beta same thing happens as now. The Beta version starts.

     

    A workaround is to start the appropirate version of Photoshop you like to use for editing from Lightroom and put it in the background. Then this version will be used with "Edit in Photoshop...".

     

    When the 'link' between Lightroom Classic and Photoshop has issues, the first step is to try this:

    Use the Adobe Creative Cloud Application to uninstall Photoshop. When asked, keep preferences! After this reinstall Photoshop again.

     

    If this doesn't help the nest step is to reinstall both apps Lightroom and Photoshop. Please folloe the steps below:

    1. Open the Adobe Creative Cloud Desktop Client and uninstall both Photoshop and Lightroom Classic. When asked, keep preferences! 
    2. Install Photoshop first and then Lightroom Classic. The right order is very important here!

     

    If this doesn't help try the reinstallation with removing the preferences also.

    I've been having the same struggles with round-tripping from LR Classic to Photoshop and back lately. After years of working seamlessly, it just plain stopped working. So, I set Photoshop 202 Beta as the default "Edit In..." app, and now everything works fine again. Go figure.

    Update.....Loaded 2024 and it loaded Beta, not 2024 that I have installed, I went back into Adobe Cloud and it finally let me uninstall the Beta version.  Now it no longer shows 2024 again.

     

    You guys need to unlink the released version 2024 and Beta in lightroom, otherwise we can no longer use PS 2024 release version anymore once the cloud wants to use Beta even if we tell it not to.

    I got it to work last night after I uninstalled and reinstalled 2024, Seems normal now after removing the beta and reinstalling 2024, this is good to know if it happens again, thanks.

    Ok so I found the bug right after I posted.....

     

    I noticed it said photoshop beta update failed.....funny because I never clicked to do that in the first place.

     

    Anyways, somehow since Adobe cloud bugged out with photoshop beta that I don't even use, it for some reason was blocking lightroom from seeing 2024. 

     

    Adobe cloud does not let me cancel or remove photoshop beta, so I clicked to retry and just have it install it since that's what it so desperately wanted to do.   Now it shows 2024 back in the preference list.   Doesn't show the beta for some reason, but it shows 2024 again.

     

    Adobe cloud for some reason has beta and 2024 linked in Lightroom Classic.
