Lightroom Classic doesn't save the import settings. Each time I import photos I have to go through

Lightroom Classic doesn't save the import settings. Each time I import photos I have to go through and set the location, date format and Second Copy. You can't change the import to location in the Import menu. Each time I import I have to go through in Library and move files to their correct location.

    PS- I just switched to Lightroom Classic from Lightroom 5 to see if it is any better. So far I am having to waste a lot of time trying to correct things that 5 did automatically. May wind up switching back if this continues.

    First, restart your computer. If the problem persists, try resetting LR's preferences:

    LR sometimes soils its preferences file, and resetting it can fix all sorts of wonky behavior. That article explains how to restore the old preferences if resetting doesn't help.
