Lightroom Release 13.4 - hangs when I open secondary monitor, without having a physical monitor on

Hi,

 

I'm using LR on PC Win11

When (by accident or even on purpose) opening the secondary monitor view (F11), while no external monitor is attached, LR hangs. This has worked in previous versions without any issues.

 

All goes well on the other hand when an external monitor is attached.

In your LrC, the /preferences/Display/, what is shown?

 

I do not have your issue, and my /Preferences/Display/ shows this:

 

 

I ask this because of searching the community, yields this:

 

 

Additional searching in the community yields the following:

 

And indicates a reset of the preference file may be required.

 

I see that you are new to the community, so I have no idea on your experience. So a pair of links on resetting the preferences (read carefully). A buggy preferences file can lead to all sorts of buggy LrC behavior.

Hi,

Thanx for your feedback, I have exactly the same settings as displayed on your screenshot.

Even though (also after LrC restarting) the issue keeps to happen unfortunately.

Sounds like you may want to contact an actual Adobe Tech. Perhaps starting via a chat, or a "Contact US"

I am not able to replicate this behavior. 

 

The speed of the Activation/Deactivation of the second display view is the same whether or not a second monitor is physically connected.  (Less than a second)

Hi Rikk,

In modes PC screen only, Duplicate and Secondary Monitor, LR stalls when activating F11 secondary screen view.

Only in Extend mode, no issues here.
