Not able to delete photos from disk in LR Classic - Only can remove

Every time I try to delete a photo in LR Classic, the only option I'm give is to "Remove." This happens regardless of how I attempt to delete (through the photo menu, backspacing, hitting delete, etc.).  Any help would be appreciated.
