What you’re seeing is actually normal for Lightroom. Lightroom automatically generates the “Caches and Index” files to help it run faster and manage previews and search functions. When you back up your catalog, Lightroom includes these files along with your catalog so that everything needed to restore your work is preserved.
You don’t need to worry about them—they aren’t duplicates of your photos, and they won’t affect your edits. If you want to reduce backup size, Lightroom also allows you to exclude previews when backing up, which can help limit the number of cache files saved.
So in short: it’s not a problem—just Lightroom keeping everything ready for you!
