Trouble tethering with LRC and Nikon D850

I had a studio shoot yesterday and when I went attempted to start tethering the captured image wouldn't appear on my mac book pro and there was just a gray scrren. However the image was sent to the folder I set up. I then got an error notice from adobe stating the tethered shooting had failed and a report was sent to determine a fix for the issue. Has anyone else encountered this?
