LRC 15.3Windows 11 Step to reproduceConfigure auto import. Don’t rename and don’t apply any preset. Keep is simple  Auto import settings  Copy a photo in the auto import folder. The photo is imported automaticly Launch a normal import with the "don’t import suspected duplicates" box checked Point to the initial folder were the photo was (not the auto-import one) The photo that is already in the catalog is not greyed. You can reimport it and create a duplicate even if you ask to avoid duplicates. Kind regards

Photo’s do not open anymore in photoshop from Lightroom as before 

I was cleaning up my computer but now I have three problems.When I launch Light Room Classic I get the following error:?;0: attempt to index field ‘_nglController’ (a nil value)I have tried to manually reset my preferences as another thread indicated (instructions here https://helpx.adobe.com/lightroom-classic/desktop/introduction-to-lightroom-classic/reset-preferences.html?linkId=100000432836124) but this did not work.When I enter develop mode in LR Classic I can’t get an image to show to actually develop. I do get to see the images in the library, but the screen stays grey if I select an image to develop.   I cannot launch Adobe Creative Cloud, it does still give me notifications that there are updates, but when I try and open it it just fails to launch and then gives a notification that it is unable to update (though it is unable to open).Before I break more, what is now the best course of action? When merging exposure brackets shot with DJI Mavic 4 Pro using the "Photo Merge" -> "HDR Panorama" feature in Lightroom Classic, there are colour artefacts / blotches around bright areas in the resulting stitched panorama image.This only happens when the exposure brackets are merged to an HDR panorama but not if the exposures are merged to single HDR files.Here is a screenshot of a bright area in an image that was merged to an HDR panorama in Lightroom:And here is a screenshot of the same area in an image that was merged to a single HDR in Lightroom using the same RAW files for this particular section of the panorama:All DNG files have not been adjusted in Lightroom at all before merging them to HDRs.I’ve done some research online and apparently, others have the same issue with DNG files shot with their Mavic 3 Pro drones. When merging exposure brackets from older DJI drones, like Mavic 2 Pro, the resulting panoramas don’t show this issue and have smooth transitions of tones in brig

Using an m1 Max, didn't have this issue prior to the latest update to version 9.4  Denoise introduces banding that continues on through to exported files.  Not an issue prior to the update.

I need to backup 3TB photo files and LR catalog from an external drive to another external drive but since i have never done it I’m afraid the main external drive will fail when backing up all that data. How can I do this without putting so much stress on the main drive? These are not SSD’s. Can anyone recommend the best method?  Which is the most reliable program to do this and do periodic backups? thank you.

Crashes reproducibly — 5 identical crashes since 2026-08-09.Crash signature: Windows Application Error log shows Lightroom.exe faulting in ntdll.dll, exception code 0xc0000374 (STATUS_HEAP_CORRUPTION), consistently at the same fault offset (0x112165) across all occurrences.Context: App log shows the last command before each crash was ag.library.stacking.generateAutoStacksBySimilarity. Lightroom's process memory usage reached 13.5–14.6 GB (41–45% of system RAM) just before crashing, suggesting a memory-handling bug in this feature on larger culling batches. 

If a plugin calls catalog:updateAISettings() immediately after photo:applyDevelopPreset(), the application of the preset is ignored. This bug was introduced in LR 15.3, likely with the background processing of AI commands. To reproduce on LR 15.3 / Mac OS 26.4.1: 1. Import the attached preset “_Update Bug.xmp”. 2. Put the attached file “updateaisettings-bug.txt” into the LR Scripts folder. 3. Go to Develop with a test photo. 4. Do Scripts > updateaisettings-bug. Observe that Exposure is not changed (incorrect -- it should change to 4). 5. Apply the preset “_Update Bug”. Observe that Exposure changes to 4 (correct). A workaround is to call LrTasks.sleep (0.1) before calling catalog:updateAISettings().

When I try to import picture files, I get a popup for assisted culling that locks the application. I need to go to task manager to shut down the application.   I turned off assisted culling under catalog settings, but this does not correct the issue. Is anybody else experiencing this issue. I cannot import new files!  

I am a photojournalist and recently switched from a PC to a MacBook (last week). My workflow has been rock-solid for many years, and my old archive copied over to the new Mac system without any issues.My Workflow: Preview & Culling: Photo Mechanic Editing: Photoshop 27.9.1 / Adobe Camera Raw Saving: Exported/saved as DNG files Archiving: Import DNGs into Lightroom Classic 15.5.1 The Issue: For my commercial side work, I regularly apply the "Adaptive: Color" profile to my Raw files. However, since switching to the Mac, when I import these newly edited DNGs into Lightroom Classic, LrC fails to apply or read the "Adaptive: Color" profile. The images import looking completely flat.What I've Tried: I read that updating the AI settings in Lightroom might resolve this, but it did not work. Manually reapplying the Adaptive Color profile inside Lightroom does fix the image, but this is way too time-consuming and defeats the purpose of my workflow. Note: Older images processed this

Bonjour,Sur Lightroom Classic, j’essaie de créer une planche contact avec des images de tailles différentes.Je vais dans le module Impression puis dans Style de disposition.Là, je vois les 3 options :Une seule image / planche contact Collection d’images Collection personnaliséeLe problème est que seule la première option semble fonctionner correctement.Quand je choisis Collection d’images ou Collection personnalisée, je n’arrive plus à utiliser les modèles du panneau de gauche (Explorateur de modèles), par exemple Chevauchement personnalisé.Du coup, impossible de faire une mise en page libre avec des images de tailles différentes.J’ai probablement un paramètre mal réglé ou une option à cocher, mais je ne trouve pas laquelle.Quelqu’un saurait d’où vient le problème ?

would like Adobe Support to investigate this as an AI Edits Storage / .lrcat-data problem, rather than repeating the standard troubleshooting steps that I have already completed.In particular, I would like to know: Is there a known regression or bug in Lightroom Classic 15.5/15.5.1 affecting AI Edits Storage or .lrcat-data? hello, I have a strange issue with the Print Module in Lightoom Classic - I select some photos in Library - I click on Print module when the layout style is first one (single photo) I see photos in main view, I can change number of rows or columns, etc   but when I change layout style to second or third option: - the main screen shows only blank paper - the page number is not refreshed (so for example it still shows page 1 / 13) - changing template on the left does nothing - it's not possible to drag photo from filmstrip into main view   I tried refreshing view, changing photos, restarting Lightroom and resetting LR preferences   any tips what is wrong?   LR 13.3.1, Windows 10
