I was editing this morning and everything was fine. Then I saw an app update, downloaded/installed, and went back to work. Now I can no longer resize my frames in masking mode which increases my workload erasing masking areas from the edges.
Can you give more detailed step-by-step instructions or perhaps record a short video showing the issue (Turn on Show Touches in App Settings>Input, please.
Hey Rick thank you for the reply. I’m attaching a video that shows my new issue. When I select masking, I’ve always been able to either shrink or enlarge the photo in order to brush areas on/off. This allows me, for instance, to select a subject, invert that, but then quickly draw away large portions of the mask by shrinking the working image. This process makes my brush size larger without having to adjust the actual brush size and allows me to clear away unwanted masking areas quickly and efficiently.
Now, I can only enlarge or move the entire image with a two-finger swipe. I’d really appreciate having the shrinking capability back please. Let me know if I can do anything else to help this along.
Yes, shrinking to smaller than fit view. I could do it 4 hours ago before the update. My video didn't attach when I replied from email Rikk so I retried and hope it helps.

While you're at it, I've also had an issue(before today as well) where when I open up a photo(LR CC Mobile) and it's still in the "downloading smart preview/original" phase, ithe photo zoom jumps to like 200-300% for no reason. If I double tap, it zooms again. A second double tap(or opening/closing the crop tab quickly) brings it back to fit to screen view. But it happens on probably 4-5/10 pics I open up under all circumstances. Cache clear and iPhone restart do not improve it.
Regarding this second issue you mentioned, I don't understand. Could you share another screen recording?
Note: before making the recording, could you go into App settings > Input, and enable Show Touches at the bottom? This will let us see your screen interactions.
I've been using Lightroom from quiet a while now and it's been a blast so far. With the latest update, however, I can't seem to shrink my image when I'm masking it. This is very frustrating to my editing style. Before the update, I could shrink the image and then apply masks on it which is easier for me. But recently the screen is locked and the image won't squeez in when I pinch it to zoom out. Please fix this.
Adding my voice to this - it's completely killed parts of my workflow. I have some radial masks that extend well beyond the borders of my pictures for subtle gradients. I'm no longer able to size them at all.
Sir, with due respect, several weeks from now for most probably a bug that can be fixed sooner. I've been a premier user and I'm not using the app unless this is fixed it has totally ruined the experience for me. Please get it fixed sooner. It would be highly appreciated.
I've been apprehensive about updating Lightroom on my iPad because there is always some insanely dumb change that makes no sense.
I updated yesterday for god know what reason and now I can't zoom out when making masks! What the hell is this? Who thought "let's give our users less control and make it harder to make masks, they'll love us for it."?
This is why I never update apps unless they actually don't run at all.
EDIT: And I just noticed that I can't long press on a section of the editing panel (like "color" or "effects") to see the before and after. Who is in charge of making the app worse? This is crazy!
EDIT 2: Just realized that when tapping on the right or left of the white balance slider it jumps way further now. Fine tuning that way was how I get the white balance I wanted. It jumps too far now! God I regret updating, it was just a downgrade!
Adobe can you fix these issues? You've made Lightroom on iPad worse and more cumbersome to use for no reason. Please be reasonable and reverse these changes.
@just eirik for the long press before/after: I have seen that the first time you do it on a photo, it's either extremely long (5 seconds), or doesn't change.
But the second time you long press, then it works/faster.
Have you tried this, just to check whether this is the same thing?
But yeah, when you used to be direct, with no lags, the first time I pressed, I gave up thinking it doesn't work.
In regards to what I posted before, photo no longer fitting automatically to screen, not sure anymore whether this is the same bug or not.
I can recreate it without going to Masks; I have no clue why it happens.
But it's really annoying, because I keep needing to resize manually photos after photo when editing.
Yeah long pressing does nothing for me. I just tried for half a minute and nothing happened.
Its so frustrating. I'm already only a begrudging Adobe customer because I can't find a better raw editing app on iPad, and then they go making it worse for no reason.
