Not seeing Generative Fill? 1. Both the previous and the most-recent version of the Photoshop Beta are 24.6. Please check your Help > System Info and verify that on the first line you see: 24.6.0 20230520.m.2181 Ensure you are on the latest by refreshing the updater, please.
So it turns out I'm running Adobe Photoshop Version: 24.6.0 20230516.m.2174 17c6688 x64 I tried quitting the CC app and relaunching it and then installing and reinstalling PS beta but neither resulted in the newer version. How do I go about "refreshing the updater".
@Daniel30023869smlb we can see that you purchased your plan today, so it is possible that there is a miscommunication with the backend to verify your valid account. Please give it a few hours and try again and in the meantime we will see what the team might have for other suggestions.
I have exactly the same problem. Mac OS Ventura 13.3.1 (a), MacBook Pro 2021, M1 Max processor. I've installed and reinstalled the Photoshop beta twice. Perhaps rebooting my Mac will help.
@Leo5C77 here is what others have found to solve this.

Click the Check for updates to make sure you are telling CCD to go out and pull the latest version.
The generative fill button is greyed out no matter what i do. If i select a part of an image, it is greyed out, etc. Am i doing something wrong or are there other steps needed to enable the generative fill?
What about the rest of us that have the correct version based on the first line data in the System Info?
As I said before I have uninstalled and reinstalled the Beta version multiple times. I was able to use the Photoshop Beta version for several weeks when the Remove tool was introduced. But now the Gernerative Fill tool is greyed out and there is no hint when hovering over the space. Any ideas on what else to try? Or what the conflict might be?
I am also seeing the Generative Fill is greyed out and nothing happens when I click. If I hover I see the error "Generative Fill is currently not available" The image is RGB-8 and Im using Windows 10.

Well, I have version 24.6.0 20230520.m.2181 4e0245f but it won't solve anything.
I installed the Photoshop beta version from the beta apps tab for a third time, still no Gererative Fill. I rebooted my Mac and it showed me in Adobe Creative Cloud (under apps) an update to Photoshop v24.6 beta. I installed the update and everything seems to work.
Same here, Windows 10. Tooltip says "generative fill is currently not available". No error message. Image mode is RGB 8 Bit. Selection is active and Background has been promoted to a Layer.
