My Photoshop is upto date (24.3), I've downloaded/updated Beta Apps and reset all tools - yet the new AI Remove Tool doesn't show up in my PS. Has anyone else experienced this problem, and if so is there a fix?
I have downloaded and opened the Beta version of Photoshop and the Remove Tool is missing from the "Brush Healing Group". Screen save below shows this is the Beta version but the pull-out for the Healing Brush shows the Remove Tool is missing.
I have downloaded the Photoshop (Beta) version but Remove Tool missing. Tried going into the Edit Tool Bar option (...) in the tool bar and clicked on "Restore Defaults". No luck.
Hi @Jytte0D45 What version is your Photoshop Beta?
If you don't have 24.5.0, check to make sure you Creative Cloud Desktop App is updated, then uninstall the old beta, sign out of Creative Cloud Desktop, log back in and try downloading again.
Thanks, Kevin for your advice. Had other problems related to Lightroom as well. Couldn’t update despite the notification an update was available for Lightroom and Photoshop (Beta), but the update button would work and then received message that the program was up to date, which it wasn’t. Eventually resulted in a report sent to Adobe. Coles notes — everything worked out eventually and my programs are now up to date. Thank you!
thanks for this post. I see the Generative Fill button, but it is grayed out. When hovering over the button, it simply says "Generative Fill is currently not available". I just downloaded PS Beta today to try it, and I am on version "Adobe Photoshop Version: 24.6.0 20230520.m.2181 4e0245f x64".
Thanks for any help and advice on how to make this work, please?
Hi @Jean H. here are some reasons you may be having this issue:
Why can’t I access Generative Fill?
Generative Fillin the Photoshop (beta) app is only available to users of at least 18 years of age with aCreative Cloud Individuallicense along withCC Teams, CC Enterprise, and ourEducational customers.
For users under 18,Generative Fillis visible but disabled. Also, fornon-RGB 8/16 bits documents, the feature is visible but disabled. Hovering over theGeneratebutton will show a tooltip explaining why the feature is unavailable.
Generative Fillis not available in China at this time.

as mentioned above, I have same issue. I am older than 18 , my picture formnat is RGB 8-bit, but the button is greyed out. Also no tooltip, why it is greyed out, just saying "it is currently not available". Any further hints ?
my generative fill is not working, i have the latest update and the buttons are there on my screen but they cannot be used. i just worked with an agent online and we could not resolve it either but asked me to submit a bug as well. i would like to hear back when this is fixed
I also noticed, that there are different versions out there. Someone on YouTube said, his version (which works properly) is 24.6.0 20230520.m.2181 4e0245f while mine (I just checked for new updates) is 24.6.0 20230520.m.2181 4e0245f 🤔
