Correct answer davescm

Where you want it to paint 100% opacity make it black. Where you want 0% make it white. Any grey will be semi transparent.

The colour on the brush will be your foreground colour and can only be one colour.

If you made your brush from the coloured shape at the top left then you have your reason. The brush will be opaque where the defined colour is solid black and transparent where the defined colour it is solid white. You have some green shades which in brush terms are seen as grey and therefore semi transparent.

    I used the leaf from the top left for the brush preset. What should I do to make it grey?
