color calculated for a selection by the Photoshop Average Filter

Where can I find the value of the color calculated for a selection by the Photoshop Average Filter?

 

After I apply the Average Filter to a selection and zoom into pixel scale, the info panel reads out a variety of HSB values for the individual pixels.

 

Is it possible to transfer the color calculated by the Photoshop Average Filter directly to the foreground color?

 

Is it possible to create a swatch based on the Average Filter color of a selection?

Could you please post screenshots taken at View > 100% with the pertinent Panels (Toolbar, Layers, Options Bar, …) visible?

Average results in one and only one color of pixels in the selection. However, you may be using layers or something else that is affecting that selection.

The eyedropper tool will set the foreground color. The Color Picker dialog has an "Add to Swatches" button.

    I'm using select color range to make the selection, which is resulting in some partially transparent pixels.  I was able to find the opacity 100% pixels by entering quick mask, applying image adjustments threshold with the minimum value, duplicating those pixels to a new layer and transforming the selection to x =0, y=0, so that I could find the 100% opacity pixels along the edge of the document.  These pixels all have the same Average color.
