Thanks for your reply.

It seems work now, after pressing "D" to restoring the colour swatches but how come only "Sktech " effect only works when it is " original black and white colour swatches?

thanks a lot

"Sketch" and many of the other filters use the foreground and background colors — they don't have to be B&W. We didn't see original colors, but it looked like they were both very pale. The filter worked correctly, but you didn't like it. (Neither did I!)

Experiment with other colors. Try blue & white or green & yellow to see what happens, then choose two colors that work for you.

If you have a Smart Object and are working non-destructively, you can delete the filter. If you don't have a Smart Object and are working destructively, choose Undo after each experiment.

Would you be able to also add a screenshot that shows your Layers panel showing what you had selected when you went to apply the filter?

@Saša Flamboyant

Most filters use your foreground and background colors.

  • Press Cancel to close the Filter dialog
  • Type "D" (the shortcut for restoring the default foreground and background swatches)
  • Try the filter again

Pro tip: create a Smart Object first if you want to edit the filter later; otherwise the filter is destructive editing.

Please show your Tools panel with the Foreground and Background swatches. The filters use them, as was said earlier. They need to be Black and White.
