Is there a way to get the values of certain tools/sliders to display in a separate program/plugin?

I recently purchased the Elgato Stream Deck +. It has 4 dials with a screen above it that indicates what the dial is controlling. Currently, it seems that all photoshop plugins/integrations for the stream deck only allow you to interact with photoshop in one direction, by sending keypresses/hotkeys.

What I'd like to be able to do is control a value in photoshop (like brush size) and have the current value for that tool be reflected on the Stream deck's Screen. Something like this:

Ideally I'd like to also be able to get values like layer opacity, slider values from adjustment layers, etc. Before I dive into learning how to write a photoshop plugin, is this possible? I've seen resources on making sliders for plugins, but nothing on how to grab/hook in to values from an open photoshop window and reflect those values in an external application.

It looks like someone has been able to accomplish this with other programs, like Ableton: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x2ay83AmXGY, though I'm guessing music/MIDI programs have a much more robust hardware controller ecosystem.

Thanks!

I'm wondering the same. I want to purchace some macro dials to be able to controll brush size, opacity, hardness etc. But I can't find any resources for it at the moment 😞
