Low Res Photos
I've been asked to put a catalogue together at the last minute and have been supplied with photos by the company. I always use 300dpi as the resolution for printing but have been supplied with small files 134 x 308 at 28.346 dpi.
If I convert these to 300 dpi they become way too small to use. I will be supplying the printer with an exported pdf for the print run - my question is this: because it's a pdf do I still have to have 300dpi for the photos or does it no longer matter as they're not using the original image?
Sorry if this is an obvious question, but I'm not a graphic designer and have had to pick all this up as I go along, (I wear multi-hats in this organisation) and there isn't going to be time to get the products re-photographed.
Many thanks.
