Post appears to not have posted ???

No blue line shows  up.... I got the palettes to line up BUT they float in space and won't dock properly on R like I would like them to.

Thanks for help

+ Might you know  know how to get screen shots to save as pdf or jpeg...

+Even when I work in photoshop and save as jpg... it opens up as preview instead of opening in Photoshop like I expect.

Thanks.

1. Finally!! The blue line showed up and the palettes docked on R. I don't know how it did it but it did.

2. My workspace keeps flying up or up and over to esp. top L corner out of site except lower R corner... any idea how to keep workspace in place without it taking off on me?
Thanks again for all help!!!!!

@NTC Ann

1. When you drag panels, just remember to keep your eye on the mouse cursor, as that is what has to be in the right place to get the blue line.

2. Your workspace looks fine in your screenshot. All the panels are in a good place. Can you clarify this issue?

No blue line shows up. The workspace showing = the line of palettes is still loose and won't dock on R... it's just floating there and if I close rest... the layers, characters, paragraph, color palettes (these are linked but the stack = stays loose on desktop.

Not finding a cursor. I've been dragging it trying to get it to dock in place on R... only arrow shows up.

Remember that you are not dragging the panel to the correct position — you are dragging the mouse cursor and the panel goes with it. Keep dragging until the mouse cursor is in place and you see the blue line, then release.

Here is your other thread on the same topic:

You're probably not dragging the panels far enough. The cursor needs to hit the edge.

Your file associations were probably lost in the latest update. If you can't reassign in the operating system, uninstall and reinstall usually fixes it.

To avoid this in the future, always install in version order and uninstall in reverse version order, starting with the newest and working backwards. Last in - first out. This way, file associations are correctly handed down to the operating system.

Do this before running the CC installer. Then install or reinstall the new version.

It's the "remove old versions" checkbox that messes this up, by uninstalling old after the new is in place, taking file associations with it.
