What happened to mousing over to see the colors in swatches?

UPDATE: Someone told me the answer: You have to turn on "show tool tips" for the swatch name to show on mouseover. (Preferences > Tools)

I have Photoshop 23.4.2 on a Mac Desktop OS Monterey 12.1. 

It used to be that if you held your cursor over a swatch color, the name you'd created would show up. This hasn't worked for several versions of Photoshop, and it's very frustrating. Is there a trick to get this to work?
