I have a 108" by 1" file size in PSD. I want to export it into either png or jpeg so that it can be opened on mobile devices without the image getting pixalated. In what resolution should I be exporting this image for good clarity when viewed on any device.

I exported the image at 600 ppi first but it the image looks pixelated. When I increased the resolution to 1200ppi my computer said "low stratcg disk"

With that out of the way. What you need to do here is decide the target platform (phone/iPad etc), and what the pixel size needs to be, based on the screen resolution of these devices. As I said, a phone is max 1500 pixels long side, usually less. Again, inches and ppi don't apply Just pixels.

I forgot to say that there is a size restriction in Export, a little over 8000 pixels. Can't recall the exact number. That's the biggest file you will get out of Export.

Having got your image down to a reasonable dimension, this plugin for Photoshop helps reduce JPGs and PNGs down further:

Displays have one ppi it does not mater what ppi you set an image to have. That a printer setting.  All that matters on a displays is the number of pixels you have for your Image.  Also any time you resample an image to change the number of pixels you have for your Image you will loose some image quality.  If you decrease the number of pixels the new images will have less detail. If you increase the number of pixels the image will have more detail but a lower quality of detail the added detail was computer generated  not  captured with good lens and sensor.

Alright, Thanks for your reply. I understand what you are saying. Although considering that my image file is 64800 * 7200 px , is there no real, good way to get this exported so that it is visible on any phone?

Also, it is a digital painting that i have made. I don't want to change anything about its dimensions. If that is the case, what am I supposed to do?

This is an absolutely crazy size for any mobile screen!

First of all, inches mean absolutely nothing on screen. There is no such thing, so put that aside. It's just pixels.

Second, if we translate that size into pixels, that's 64 800 pixels. That is, pardon my french, insane. At 1200 ppi, again translated because inches don't apply, we get 129 600 pixels!

You need to reconsider what you're trying to achieve here. A phone screen is at most 1500 pixels on the long side.
