How to edit an animated GIF in Photoshop?(Locked- Duplicate thread)

I have an animated GIF that I would like to edit (just change some colors).

I have done this in a GIF Animator. Would this be possible in Photoshop (CS5 Extended)?

In the menu choice (show) Animation, a window at the bottom shows all frames that are in the GIF file.

But I can here only edit the first frame, for the rest of the layers editing is dimmed out.

Is there a way to edit a GIF file in Photoshop (CS5)?

Not really.

Editing an existing GIF with frames. Not creating one.

Thanks Jitendra,

The suggestions in the link are not correct. They are said to be for CS5, but they just say: after editing use Save for Web & Devices.  But this type of saving does NOT give an animated GIF because all frames but one are lost. Editing but not being able to save it is a little bit pointless.

So 'editing' must include 'and save your edited GIF'. So my question is not so much How to edit a GIF, but How do you save an edited GIF?  (Which I have as a simultaneous thread here, sorry for the mix up).

Obviously in CS6 and later you should use 'Timeline' in the saving process of an animated GIF.

Obviously my CS5 does not have 'Timeline'.

How do you edit (and save) an animated (with more than 1 frame) GIF file in CS5?
