Hi there,

Sorry that you canont type in Arabic in Photoshop.

Which version of Photoshop are you using and on which OS?

  1. Select Edit > Preferences > Type (Windows) or Photoshop > Preferences > Type (Mac OS) > Middle Eastern and South Asian
  2. Click OK, and Restart Photoshop.

3. Type > Language Options > Middle Eastern Features.

4. Paragraph > Right-to-Left Character Direction button should now be visible.

More details around working with Arabic in Photoshop are here: Arabic and Hebrew type in Photoshop

Let us know the outcome.

Regards,

Akash

If an option is grayed out, try closing Photoshop and relaunching. This sometimes happens to me with Scrubby Zoom, and when I do this, it works.

Dr. Ali,

I believe you didn't download the Middle Eastern version, I advise you of following these steps to get the Arabic language in Photoshop and other Adobe applications.

1.jpg

  1. From the Adobe Creative Cloud Desktop menu, click on All Apps to view a list of installed Adobe applications
  2. Click the three ellipses shown beside each installed application
  3. Choose Uninstall to remove the non-Arabic application
  4. Once ALL installed applications have been uninstalled/removed, click on the “Account” icon found on the top-right corner of the Creative Cloud desktop application and choose “Preferences”

2.jpg

5. In the newly opened Preferences dialogue window, click on “Apps” in the left pane

6. Scroll down to the bottom of the window, from the “Default install Language” drop menu choose English يدعم العربية in order to have Arabic support in Adobe applications, then click the “Done” button.

Now you may proceed to install Adobe applications once again.
