If I move the mouse slowly, it doesn't seem to respond at all.

However, After Effect or other panels in PremierePro respond to even the slightest movement.

I want to make fine adjustments with real-time response. but it is really frustrated to do on effect control panel on Premiere pro

Hello @bnd_3807,

Thanks for writing in. Can you try the same with a brand-new project? What happens? Let the team know.

Thanks,
Kevin

If I want to change a value by dragging, it only responds if the mouse pointer speed is above a certain threshold. So, if the mouse pointer moves too slowly, it won't respond even if I drag all the way to the edge of my mouse pad.

This becomes a critical issue when I want to adjust by just 1 value. If I move the mouse quickly to the right to make it respond, it often overshoots the desired value, requiring me to move it back to the left to adjust again—an inefficient process.

This problem only occurs in the Effect Controls panel. On the Essential Graphics panel, it works smoothly as I expect; even a 1-nanometer move with the mouse pointer gets a response. However, you can't control other effects, such as blur, for example, in the Essential Graphics panel.

It might be due to the performance limitations of my computer, but since I’ve noticed a consistent issue with mouse pointer speed affecting responsiveness, I suspect it could also be a problem with the program itself.

To troubleshoot the issue, I’ve tried the following methods:

  1. Starting a new project.
  2. Uninstalling and reinstalling the program.
  3. Checking the mouse polling rate.
  4. Changing the monitor resolution.
  5. Updating the graphics driver.
  6. Using a wired mouse connection.
  7. Changing the computer language to English and reinstalling the English version of the program.
  8. Changing the sequence frame rate.

Device Information:

  • Processor: AMD Ryzen 5 3600X
  • RAM: 32GB (26GB allocated)
  • Graphics Card: AMD Radeon RX 5500 XT
  • Display: Samsung U32J59x (3840x2160, 31.5 inch), but currently using at 2560x1440 resolution with a 61Hz refresh rate
  • Mouse: Logitech G903, Polling Rate: 1000Hz, DPI: 400
