I'm experiencing significant delays in ProRes rendering on my MacStudio M1 Max. Despite the powerful hardware, my system isn't utilizing the Performance Cores or GPU during rendering, causing extremely slow speeds. Rendering a two-hour ProRes 422 HQ footage takes over 40 hours, whereas H.264 rendering is comparatively faster.
- System Specifications:
• Device: MacStudio M1 Max
• RAM: 64GB
• macOS Version: 15.0.1 (24A348)
• Software: Adobe Media Encoder 25.0 (build 54)
- Issue Details:
• Only CPU Efficiency Cores 1 and 2 are active during rendering; the 8 Performance Cores and 4 GPU cores remain idle.
• The timeline is very simple, with only trimming at the beginning and end.
• The issue only occurs with ProRes rendering; H.264 rendering is significantly faster.
- Steps I have taken:
1. Ensured both macOS and Adobe Media Encoder are up-to-date.
2. Checked Activity Monitor to ensure no other applications are consuming excessive resources.
I'd appreciate any advice or suggestions to resolve this issue. Thank you!
