Issue with ProRes Rendering on MacStudio M1 Max

I'm experiencing significant delays in ProRes rendering on my MacStudio M1 Max. Despite the powerful hardware, my system isn't utilizing the Performance Cores or GPU during rendering, causing extremely slow speeds. Rendering a two-hour ProRes 422 HQ footage takes over 40 hours, whereas H.264 rendering is comparatively faster.

• System Specifications:
  •⁠ ⁠Device: MacStudio M1 Max
  •⁠ ⁠RAM: 64GB
  •⁠ ⁠macOS Version: 15.0.1 (24A348)
  •⁠ ⁠Software: Adobe Media Encoder 25.0 (build 54)

• Issue Details:
  •⁠ ⁠Only CPU Efficiency Cores 1 and 2 are active during rendering; the 8 Performance Cores and 4 GPU cores remain idle.
  •⁠ ⁠The timeline is very simple, with only trimming at the beginning and end.
  •⁠ ⁠The issue only occurs with ProRes rendering; H.264 rendering is significantly faster.

• Steps I have taken:
  1.⁠ ⁠Ensured both macOS and Adobe Media Encoder are up-to-date.
  2.⁠ ⁠Checked Activity Monitor to ensure no other applications are consuming excessive resources.

Welcome to the Premiere Pro forums! Have you tried to export on another machine to see if you get the same result? Also to better help you on this issue, we could look at a copy of your project and  If that is something you are open to.

After conducting thorough troubleshooting, I discovered that the issue arises specifically when the ProRes Mov asset is located on the network drive. It appears that Media Encoder is not utilizing the 10GbE connection effectively. We conducted a speed test on the network connection using the Blackmagic Disk Speed Test tool and achieved write and read speeds of approximately 700MB/s. Additionally, when copying files using Finder, we also experienced high speeds. However, during rendering with Media Encoder, the read/write speed drops to approximately 65MB/s.
