Apr 03, 2025 Apr 03, 2025

I updated Premiere at 25.2 version and I've noticed a that in the source monitor are not showed the in and out points over the audio clip. Is it a bug or can i activate them somehow? I attach an image for greater clarity.

Updated to PPro 25.2.0. Now, when you load an audio file into the source monitor and add an in-point and out-point, it no longer highlights the selected audio waveform region. HOWEVER... if you add the IN and OUT and then drag the I/O points in the source monitor play-head area bar, it will update to the drag motion. I did try deleting and re-generating the "PEK" file just to make sure. Also tried with several other projects. Same issue.

So, to confirm, the only way to get the audio waveform to refresh the in-point and out-point highlight is by dragging the in and out handles on the source monitor play-head bar.

Could this be addressed/fixed?

As you can see in the screencap, there are In and Out points set and no highlight. However, if I drag the I/O handles...

Since updating to Adobe Audition 25.2, when I set an in/out selection on an audio clip, the selected area no longer appears highlighted on the waveform display (screenshot attached).

The indicators in the Source Monitor have stopped working correctly. They do not display as expected, even after restarting Premiere Pro or resetting the workspace.

Steps to Reproduce:

- Open Premiere Pro version 25.2.1.

- Load footage into the Source Monitor.

- Observe that the indicators (playhead, in/out points, etc.) are not behaving correctly or are missing.

Troubleshooting Attempted:

  • Restarted Premiere Pro

  • Reset the workspace

  • Toggled "Audio Time Units" on and off

None of these steps resolved the issue.

Hello,

Since the 25.2.1 update the source monitor IN-OUT points on an opened audio file does not graphically mark IN-OUT points on waveform as until now.

In new Premiere Pro (25.2) when I selected In to Out in source monitor, when I selected waveform view and selection doesnt appear. Below you can see version 25.2 and 24.6 (even in Beta doesnt appear)

For me this is not good point, because we work a lot of time with audio and this highlights helps to see selected markers

This started with the update to v. 25.2 and is still present on v. 25.2.1. When bringing up an audio-only file in the source monitor and using the keyboard to select an in-point and/or an out-point, the monitor doesn't update to highlight the selected section. It's a tiny issue, but I'm finding it pretty annoying.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Open an audio file in the source monitor.
  2. Move the scrubber to anywhere on the timeline.
  3. Press "I" or "O".

Expected result: The in-point or out-point should be displayed on the timeline. On the waveform display itself, the selected portion of the file should be highlighted.

Actual result: On the timeline everything works as it should. But the display of the waveform in the main source monitor itself doesn't update: whatever highlighting (if any) was already being displayed doesn't change. This means the waveform display and the timeline are showing different selections (see attached screenshot). Only when using the mouse to move or alter the selection on the timeline does the monitor update correctly. Additionally, if I then open something else in the source monitor then bring back the audio file, the waveform display no longer shows any highlighting (although the timeline does).

Using Adobe Premiere Pro 25.2.1 on Windows 11 Pro version 24H2.

When I open a file in source window, choose to see waveforms and mark in and out, I only see the selection on the timeline, but I don't see it visualized on the waveform itself, as it was before the update.
Could you bring it back?
Thank you

Upgraded to 25.2.1 and I'm having the same issue. The in and out points show up on the scrub bar below my audio files in the source monitor but not actually in the waveform portion of the source monitor.

Getting same issue for 2 weeks now.  Updated GPU, reset prefs, updated drivers, reinstalled prem.  Nothing fixed it. It's a real bug with lots of legs and bites.

Hi. Another bug in Premiere Pro. Not that serious though.

In the Source monitor switched to show the waveform if you set your in and out points with the hotkeys, the waveform does not update, showing an old area thus selected.

Steps to reproduce:

- Double click a clip in your Project bin to open it in the Source mon

- Hover your mouse over the clip preview icon and set the In and Out points with the I and O shortcuts. Note the position of the outlined area and the in-out brackets below.

AndrewTheGreat_0-1747657287367.png

- Hover your mouse over the clip preview icon again and set the In and Out points on a different area. Note the position of the outlined area and the in-out brackets below.

AndrewTheGreat_1-1747657366825.png

- Do the same in the source monitor window - select an area with the hotkeys and the playhead, then change it with the hotkeys again. Here the playhead shows the area selected previously has stayed in its place though the new selection is seconds later:

AndrewTheGreat_2-1747657494944.png

- The selected area updates in the waveform if you click and drag the i\o selection below with your mouse.

Please fix it for it's a distracting bug for those who work with mostly hotkeys.
