I cant get Premier to read PNG's, I make them in Photoshop and export them as PNG's but when they come in Premier is all the weird crap.

I already clear the cache, re installed, re exported, started  new project, I cant get it t work! WHAT THE CRAP IS HAPPENING!!!

This are two pictures of PNG's it is one title, but Premier is merging all the PNGS in to one picture, same with the one below, it suppose to say TIPS on crussing, not all that weird color and reverse shadow going on.... this is totally wrong!! I'd like it if someone from Adobe would tell me why I can't use Pr, Ae, Pl, AME on Windows 7 ZBook with Nvidia K2100. All drivers up to date. All other apps work just fine. All video apps "Unable to start correctly".

I recommend you post your question in a new(or existing) thread specific to your issue, that way this thread stays focused on issues with PNG.

I found this thread which might be more relevant for you: Premiere Pro CC 2018. The application was unable to start correctly (0xc0000005)

This issue hasn't been fixed at all. Same problem for me : png are doing really crazy stuff in Premiere. At first everything is fine but suddenly the glitch appears and stays on top of everything on the timeline. To get rid of it i have to delete de png or click on the eyeball to de-activate the video track.

By the way all my apps are updated and i'm working on a mac pro (trashcan) with 32Go of Ram and AMD Firepro D700 for the graphic card.

I believe the quickest fix to that is to encode the png into a video file with alpha but, it really slows down the workflow and isn't a real solution to the problem.

Please adobe fix this ASAP.

If you're on 12.1.1 and still having this, please file a report on the new User Voice system.

It doesn't help - A lot of programmes, especially Adobe programmes export PNGs by default. Mac screen grabs are always PNGs. Old projects with thousands of PNG with transparency files can't be opened easily. I have just had to convert thousands of Character Animator files.

It has been fixed in most cases ... but clearly not all. Please file a report with full details of your gear & media on their new UserVoice system so they get the data on what's still screwed up.

This needs a complete fix.

I recognize you're frustrated, but there's nothing we can do until I get a project that shows the problem. Every project I have has been fixed by the latest updates in AE/PR/AME. I will also need the PNG(s) because I can't reproduce without the source footage. I've been communicating with users personally over email and forum messages, but perhaps it would be better to address this publicly so other users will have a chance to verify your issue.

Do you have a project you can post that shows the problem? If so, I'm more than happy to try and reproduce your issue ASAP.

You should be able to attach a zip of the project folder directly to this thread, but linking to Dropbox/Creative Cloud/Google Drive/etc. would work too.

Thanks,

I will try and post it for you this weekend. I've had to render out the images in AE as mov.'s for now to get this out the door. But will post my project for you to check out.. The PNG or PSD files will not show up over a video clip.. definitely frustrating.

Please do. And I need the PNG footage to be able to reproduce. Just getting the project file won't give me enough to debug the situation.

The png problem is not yet solved. I'm using adobe premiere pro 12.1.2 and it still can't render files well that are using png files.

Using PSD files helps, but I rather use PNG files. Any Idea when it will be solved?
