Batch Export multiple clips in Premiere pro

Since more and more customers especially from events I film at, ask for clips of overview shots or just people dancing etc. I always grade them and edit them perfectly to make sure the clips are perfect.

Now I do know about the nesting each clip to batch export it in media encoder I was wondering if there is a faster way? Since I am also using an adjustment layer above all the clips and constantly matching each shot and then selecting all the layers to nest is just getting a bit annoying.

I also know that you can make multiple sequences for each clip but if you have to export 50+ clips it's just so much work for something that could be so easy.

Is there a way or maybe a future plan where you can just select your sequence and say I wanna export each clip on this timeline individually with all the effects and adjustment layers applied?

I agree, be nice if there were an option to export individual clips from the timeline.

Might be quicker for you to create a single nest of all your clips and use Scene Edit Detection. You can then drag them into a folder and export.

Thank you so much, this actually worked! Nest all cips > Scene Detection > drag clips to new bin > Select all clips in Bin > Right Click 'Export' then to Media Encoder! Adobe makes things so hard

wait no that didn't work... instead, i actually rendered out the entire section, brought that single clip back into premiere pro, scene selected (fixed up the clips that weren't cut properly) and then exported those clips from the bin.

Make sure you set Range to Source In/Out on the Export tab.

It didn't work for me either.. range is defined to source in/out, but even this way, it takes the whole video instead of the clip. It only works if I nest each clip.

When you load one of the clipsin the Source Monitor, does it have in/out points?

Yes, they showed in and out points. I rarelly use Premiere and other video editing tools, so I might be missing something. I had to go nesting one by one so that I could export the 150 clips..

Some of my clips had "soft" or "suggested" in/out points and I had to manually re-apply them in the source monitor.

Despite selecting export using in/out points, clips that had this, would render the whole clip. The top In/out shows what part of the clip I'm using in the timeline and the bottom is the actual In/Outs that I manually have to place in the source monitor.

These aren't suggested in/out points - the top is video in/out and the bottom is audio in/out.

Select the clips on the Timeline, do a render and replace to the codec you prefer. Include all effects. Use those as your corrected exported media.

Been awhile since I've done that with an AL, and I don't recall if that effect would be included.

Hi Noah,

To batch export multiple clips in Premiere Pro with your Lumetri effect applied, follow these steps:

1. Copy Timeline clips: Create a new bin in your Project panel. Select all the clips in your Timeline that you want to export and drag them into the bin. This will create new copies of the clips with in/outs that match your timeline.
2. Copy effect: Select your Adjustment Layer in the Timeline, go to the Effect Controls panel, select the Lumetri effect, and copy.
3. Paste effect: Select all the clips in your Project panel and paste. This will paste the Lumetri effect to the clips as a Source effect.
4. Export: Click Export, choose your Format, and then click Send to Media Encoder.
