Davinci exported files not working in premiere

Explorer ,
Aug 08, 2024 Aug 08, 2024

I have color graded the files in Davinci and exported them in Quicktime apple prores(mov). But I cannot import them in premiere pro. It show "unsupported compression type".
(Also the files works well in davinci)

I have no more access to get the files from grading again. Is there any other way to solve this?

Mod note: Please do not use all caps when typing your title. There is no need to yell. I fixed it for you. Thanks.

Assuming File > Import is being used, I'd try the Media Browser panel.

After that, I'd download and install the free version of Resolve on the same system as Premiere Pro to check the files and transcode them to matching ProRes.  It's also worth trying After Effects, Shutter Encoder, and the Finder (right-click for Encode Selected Video File - but the options are limited).

If all of that fails, I'd worry that the files are corrupted.

PC or MAC, what's the PP version (from help/about).

You can use the free MediaInfo program to get info on your clips. Get the program from the link below and using the 'Tree' view post a screenshot of your clip info: https://mediaarea.net/en/MediaInfo/Download

FWIW: I was looking for the TREE view in MediaInfo, and also your actual PP version, beyond "24" do you have any .dot version? Like 24.5 which is shipping.

Does this post help?

Hi @SM24monkeys,

For Mac users, you have to pay a small fee to get a tree view in MediaInfo. It's worth the small price of this crucial information to help you in many future projects.

Cheers,
Kevin

Use the VIEW menu in mediainfo to select the TREE view. Or under Options/Preferences/View select the TREE view as most of us here us that.
