It's now just Graphics  workspace.

And we don't have the Essential Graphics as a separte panel, they've rebuilt so the Properties panel is where you change/set properties. It's totally "context aware" which is confusing at first.

So ... select a mogrt on the sequence, the Properties panel just shows the position/size/center points.

Click on some object in that mogrt in the Program panel, suddenly the Properties panel shows what we saw in the EGP, and all the controls, layer stack, everything are

Just updated to 2025. Somehow I am able to edit the MGRTs but they won't show up in my exports at all--it displays the missing media graphic or nothing. I hope Adobe clears this up ASAP.

Yes, but the properties panel wasn't visible for me with the update, I found this out by accident. It would have been nice to have been notified of it. I don't mind the intuitive properties panel since we already have it in Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator, but it was super stressful with a very short deadline on a project after returning from Adobe MAX and not be able to figure out what was happening.

But yes, the properties panel allowed me to edit mogrts once I added it back.

Personally, I thought it was really weird that the EGP went away, but without the Properties panel simply replacing it in obvious fashion. So yea, I totally agree it can be freaking confusing and lead to massive consternation if on deadlines.

It works once you know how it works. But ain't so obvious as it could have been.

What about subtitles?? How do I change the size color of subtitles without an essential graphics edit panel?

all of the adjustments you can make to the text (Center, font, color, size etc.) are now in a window called "Properties" no longer in Essential Graphics.

The same as any graphics item. Select them, and then they magically appear in the Properties panel.

Do you have the text or graphic items highlighted ... selected ... on the timeline?

Not just the graphic 'clip', but the items in it, on the program monitor. Or for subtitles, the subtitle section of text.

I had this showing at one point but now no matter what/where/how I click/highlight all I get is the same as Robert above.

Hi yes! I tried highlighting the text/graphic item from the timeline.  All possible way.

What I did was, I restarted the app, and it works fine.

I'm having the same problem. It happens if I change from the Captions and Graphics workspace to the Audio workspace and back again. The properies panel then looks like the image above. I then have to restart the app to be able to edit the text style again.

Wow, that would be annoying. But I can't replicate.

I wonder what the hay triggers that?

Were you able to resolve this? I have 25.1 and there is no way to change the size or capitalization etc of my subtitles. No matter what I've tried. The screenshot shows my only options for editing subtitles.

@Kylie Goins,

You have a different issue than the one in this thread. Your subtitles are Australian OP-47, a type of closed captions with limited styling options. If you want "Subtitle" (the type that gives you many burn-in format options), right-click on AUS OP-47, pick settings, and change it to "Subtitle."

Stan

It seems that you are unable to find the scrolling text option in the Effect Controls and Properties panels. Scrolling text is typically created using the "Text" tool and keyframes or by using the "Rolling Credits" preset, depending on the software you're working with (such as Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, etc.).

Here’s a step-by-step guide to help you create scrolling text:

  1. Using Premiere Pro:

    • Create Text: Select the Text tool (T) and click on your program window to type the text you want to scroll.
    • Apply Motion: Go to the Effect Controls panel and find the "Position" property under Motion. Set keyframes to animate the position of your text. For a vertical scroll, adjust the Y-axis position; for horizontal, adjust the X-axis.
    • Use "Rolling Credits": If you're using Premiere Pro, you can also use the built-in "Rolling Credits" template by going to Graphics > New Layer > Text and then choosing Roll from the text options.
  2. Using After Effects:

    • Create Text: Use the Text tool (Ctrl+T) to add your text.
    • Animate: In the timeline, animate the position of the text using keyframes. Set the first keyframe at the start of your timeline and the last one at the end of the timeline for the scroll effect.
    • Pre-sets: After Effects also provides a scrolling text preset (such as Credit Roll) that can be applied from the Animation Presets menu.

Say a MOGRT has a placeholder section but the only way to customise it is to drag a photo or video into the placeholder section how would you do that? everytime i select the new media the properties panel changes to the selected one.

But what if I don't have a graphic in the timeline yet and don't want to use a fancy template? I just want a blank graphic I can throw text and shapes in. I don't see how ti make a graphic without digging through all of the templates.

Never mind I finally found it under Graphics and Titles > New Layer.  VERY unintuitive, creating a "new layer" when there's no graphic yet and burying it. Just as frustrating has not being able to create a new sequence from the sequence menu.
