How do I add my logo to all videos

A very simple request. How do I add an existing logo which is a png file, into all  videos that I edit within Premier Pro?

Several ways.

 

First one ...

  • Import the PNG file into the project.
  • Drag it from the Project file to the Timeline panel on a "clean" upper track.
  • Release. This creates a new graphic element.
  • Use the Effects Control Panel controls to set size and location, plus any animation you may want.
  • Drag the placement and length of the graphic as needed.

 

Second option ...

  • Go to the Graphics workspace, the Essential Graphics panel.
  • Click the Edit tab.
  • To the right near the top, right-click the New Layer icon.
  • Select "from file", navigate to the file and import it.
  • Use either the EGP or Effects Control Panel motion controls to move it where you want it on-screen.
  • drag the length of the graphic out as long as you need.

 

Third option ...

  • Import the graphic into a CC Library.
  • Drag/drop from the CC Library onto the Timeline panel.
  • Adjust as above.

 

Now to reuse the same thing ...

  • Select then right-click a graphic on the Timeline.
  • Select 'export motion graphics template'.
  • Export that either to a listed folder (EGP) or to a specific CC Library.
  • Reuse by dragging from the folder or Library to a timeline.

To move something in a graphic, either text or graphic shape ... you can use the animation controls in either the ECP ... Effects Control Panel ... or the EGP ... the Essential Graphics Panel.

 

First, make sure your graphic clip on the sequence is selected ... with the highlight white going around its edge.

 

Then select the graphic element you want to move in either the ECP or EGP. The illustration here shows the clip selected on the sequence, and the graphic element arrow shape selected in both the ECP (left side) and EGP (right side).

 

The two numbers highlighted are first horizontal movement left/right, and second vertical movement up/down. You can click-drag on any of those numbers, and your graphic will move accordingly. Of course you can enter a specific number also.

I appreciate your efforts Neil but words are not communicating what is on or in my sequence obviously. The logo does not respond to being "selected".  I will continue to explore opportunities to have a screen share with someone as it will be far more effective and less stressful.

To make a template, just create a new project and only import and place your logo on the timeline of a sequence.

Save the project and use that as a starter for new projects.

    That's great Bob!  Unfortunately, I have not succeeded in getting my logo to a position in the  bottom 1/3 of the screen even though i have found the template that offers that. Frustrating  to be so close and yet so far as the saying goes!

      Hi Neil,

      Thanks for your efforts on my behalf!  I succeeded in getting the  png file into Premier but still don't have it at where I need it.

      I have watched numerous  videos that show much more complicated tasks such as building sequences from numerous clips and creating logos and titled but cannot find the directions to import one clip and incorporate an existing logo and make a template from that for  all future similar videos.

      Am I breaking an Adobe forum rule asking you to connect with me to do some one-on-one remote coaching?

      You can send a "DM" ... direct message ... to someone by clicking on their name which takes you to their Profile. From there, you can select Message to send a message directly to that user.

      You can either import the file in to your Premiere Project and place it on the timeline above the rest of your material, or use the ability to add a watermark/graphic file during the export by using Export > Media > Export Settings > Effects > Image Overlay.

        MTD,

        I like the idea of adding it on export, but I think that messes up my smart rendering workflow for ProRes. If it were a pure H.264 Quick Sync output, I'd add it on export. Like everything, it depends on your workflow.
