How do I change the name slate I can can multiple names in my master templates?

I have a master template of lower thirds I use for my videos. I need to add multiple names & titles to my actual video in another sequence. Everytime I add multiple names using the same name slate, it changes all of my names slates to the same name. I tried locking my timeline but that didn't work. Are there any suggestions?

What version of Premiere Pro, please? Are you using legacy titles?

I agree with Paul below; duplicate your lower thirds in the project panel, not the timeline.

Your lower thirds must be duplicated in the project panel, not in the timeline

Alt+drag in the timeline will give unique copies of the mogrt.
